How do you learn best?

Find your strengths!

There are many different ways of learning.  It will be easier for all your teachers to help you make the most gains in your learning if we know how you learn best.
  • Would you rather work by yourself or have a discussion with a partner?
  • Would you rather use paper and pencil to solve a problem or act the problem out?
It is questions like these that intrigue your teachers.  For that reason, you will take an online survey to analyze your strenghts once you have finished all sections of the Performance Series Testing (Reading, Language Arts AND Math).  Remember there are NOT right or wrong answers on the Find Your Strengths Assessment, but only you can shed light into your learning world.  You should answer each question as it relates to YOUR life.  PLEASE be honest and take your time.

Unlike the Performance Series Test, your results with not be saved if you do not finish today.  Please do not start this online assessment unless you have plenty of time left in the class period.  When you finish you will raise your hand so a teacher may help you print your results.

Peformance Series Testing

This week we will be using the eMINTS computers in our classroom to test each student's reading level.  Each student will test individually.  We have scheduled two days for the Reading section and two days for the Language Arts section.  You will use the same computer each day and some students will be testing in another classroom/location as we only have 14 student computers available in our classroom.

Things I want you to remember as you test, regardless where you are testing, are

  1. Take your time!  Again you have potentially 2 FULL class periods to test each section.
  2. Stay in your seat.  If you have a question, please raise your hand quietly.
  3. Please stay focused.  As you finish please remain quiet as others around you deserve the right to do their very best.
  4. When you finish, you should get a message on your screen saying you have completed the testing.  At that time please raise your hand so I can give you further directions and potentially show you your score.  You will complete a short survey at your table and read quietly from your library book until the period ends.

Please use link to proceed to the testing site.
